    Features

The Luscious series of Lantana are tough, durable plants that will happily bloom like crazy when the heat does its worst and will tolerate dry conditions. This orange lantana plant is a reliable heat tolerant lantana plant that thrives in hot, sunny garden spaces.

One of the best things about them, though is pollinators flock to them.  Butterflies, bees and hummingbirds will come calling when you use these colorful plants in your garden, making them excellent pollinator lantana flowers for wildlife-friendly landscapes.

This vibrant orange lantana plant also performs beautifully in containers and combinations, including lantana for hanging baskets, where the bright orange and yellow blooms can spill over the edges for dramatic color.

This plant has been screened for sterility so it won't be invasive in warmer climates, allowing gardeners to enjoy this heat tolerant lantana plant and its colorful pollinator lantana flowers with confidence.

    Uses Notes:

Great in landscapes and containers, including hanging baskets, this orange lantana plant works well in sunny borders and colorful mixed plantings. Gardeners often choose this variety as lantana for hanging baskets where the vibrant blooms can cascade over the sides of containers.

    Maintenance Notes:

If you are looking for a tough plant, it's hard to beat lantana. This heat tolerant lantana plant uses little to no supplemental water in the landscape, will tolerate less than ideal soils and usually don't need to be deadheaded. If you are looking for a plant that will thrive on neglect, this orange lantana plant is the champ. Lantana comes in many shapes, sizes and habits, including varieties suitable as lantana for hanging baskets and containers.

Check size and habit information for the specific variety you are choosing to make sure it fits your needs. Lantana can be trimmed back at any time to shape or to promote increased branching and more pollinator lantana flowers. In many parts of the US and Canada lantana function as an annual. In reality they are a tender perennial, in warm winter climates this orange lantana plant becomes a flowering shrubs.

If you live in an area where Lantana is perennial they are essentially trouble fre. This heat tolerant lantana plant can be pruned at any time of year and usually benefits from a harder shape-up pruning in early spring after the last frost date. Midsummer fertilization can help overcome any slow down in growth during the dog days of summer and help bring even more pollinator lantana flowers.

According to the Humane Society of America Lantana leaves can be toxic to pets. This means that the plants are generally identified as having the capability for producing a toxic reaction.

An application of fertilizer or compost on garden beds and regular fertilization of plants in pots will help ensure the best possible performance for this orange lantana plant, especially when grown as lantana for hanging baskets or containers.

    • I am in zone 8a in Virginia. This bloomed the whole season till hard frost did it in. Such ongoing blooms for my enjoyment. I planted this in the ground with amended soil and fertilizer. Plants received plenty of sunshine. Loved it and will purchase again.

    • I have grown this plant for a few years in zone 5B and 6A in southern Ontario, Canada both in the garden and in pots. They start off a bit slow but then really take off and were loaded with blooms all summer long.

    • Hated this. Didn't grow at all. Would produce maybe 1 bloom a month. Every other plant in my hanging baskets did well. Except this one. Do not buy. Major disappointment & a waste of money
