Zone 6b high desert gardener here. I ordered three Stonehenge Skinny Yews in 2023 to screen a section of vinyl picket fence. I planted them 12” apart and I’m shocked at the amount of growth they’ve put on considering yews are notoriously slow growers. They are the perfect year round background of evergreen needed for that soace. Will be ordering more next spring for other areas of the garden. .

A space-saving hedge plant for sun or shade!
Meet Stonehenge Skinny yew - the narrowest, most space-saving evergreen around. It takes up a mere 1'/30.5cm square of ground space and grows as a lush, dense column of soft, evergreen foliage. It maintains its handsome, deep green color all year round, and is festooned with bright green in spring when the new growth emerges. It's a hard-working evergreen for landscapes and gardens of all types.
Available in better garden centers in spring 2021.
Top reasons to grow Stonehenge Skinny yew:
- Super-narrow habit
- Dark green foliage
- Shade tolerant

I received 4 of the Stonehenge Skinny Yews this spring (2021). They arrived in excellent condition in Zone 7. I planted them right away and they have all survived the hot summer and are doing very nicely.
