I have been growing this vine for 10 years now. The description is correct in that it starts out slow...the first 5 years it barely doubled its size and I planted a pretty good sized one. Now it is at least 20 times bigger than what I planted covering two walls. It grows both down and sideways along the walls and it is so beautiful. It is so much better than the climbing hydrangea - in that it grows nicely on the wall and doesn't stick out too much like the other plant does. The color is beautiful shell pink. It is not impacted - that I can tell by cold winters. After it blooms I trim it up a bit and take off the dried flowers to make it into a tidy - but pretty vine. This is probably the plant I am asked about the most from my garden visitors.

Description says part sun to sun. Well it can’t take full sun. Been trying to grow these for two seasons and the Florida sun, within the stated growing region, burns the leaves off every year. I’m wish they would change the descriptions as to the growing conditions and refund us for the mistakes in the plant description.
