Amazing Daisies^® 'Banana Cream II' Shasta Daisy Leucanthemum superbum

I am a little surprised these only have 3 stars. I live in Indiana zone 6- I initially planted 2 in my flowerbed and my goodness, such a wonderful perennial! We just moved and I dug up one of them (3 year old plant now) and it transplanted very well. I just planted 2 more this spring. After initial bloom if you cut it back you will get additional blooms all the way through November. Very beautiful plant and very easy to grow.

I purchased one plant from Walmart last summer. I am in Zone 4 and it has come back beautifully. Hoping to find more of these for sale this year, but no luck.

What is going on with this plant in Zone 7a??? I bought 3 of these last year and they are beautiful, however all 3 died over the winter!

I planted 10 of these this spring and I absolutely love them. Most of them have been blooming non-stop for the past month and they are still covered with new buds so I expect them to continue for a few more weeks. I took one star off, though, because, in my zone 7a (Mid-Atlantic) at least, they need protection from the afternoon heat, which I was not expecting from a shasta daisy. I planted several of them in a place where they got sun all afternoon and they absolutely fried, despite regular watering. I moved them to a spot that gets shade from 2-4pm and they're much happier now. However, I've noticed that the ones that suffered the heat stress have stopped blooming, whereas the ones that got that protection from the beginning are still going strong. I suspect that they'll all do great next year, though.
