Professional Growing Information I planted a few of these in a spot in my garden that receives punishing summer heat and afternoon sun. Year after year other “full sun” bushes and shrubs have died in this spot. I tried these out and they are thriving. I did water them 2x/wk their first year through late fall, but that’s about all the attention I’ve given them. Definitely try these out if you have a sunny spot in your garden where nothing seems to survive the hottest summers.

Maintenance Notes:Prune to shape after flowering. This plant flowers on the previous season's growth ('old wood'). Adaptable to most soils but prefers well drained acidic soil. Fertilize with a controlled release shrub fertilizer in spring.
Snow Day Surprise's large white blooms cover this plant in a flood of spring flowers. This is a stronger grower than old fashioned Pearl-bush, with a neater, more compact habit. An excellent plant for the spring landscape!
