Outstanding for season long soft carpet of blue color! Does not require deadheading. No bugs like to eat it. Closer to perfection than any other plant I've grown in my extensive annual flower gardens.

Maintenance Notes:Deadheading not necessary for continuous bloom. Plants will "bury their dead" (new flowers will quickly cover old flowers) so no deadheading is necessary. Most other Ageratum will need deadheading.
Unlike most Ageratum the Artist series will bloom through the summer in hot climates. The Dallas Arboretum has used Artist ageratum for years in very prominent locations with great success. They are good in pots or in the landscape. Old flowers should quickly become buried under new flowers so the plant always looks fresh and never look old. The plants shouldn't need much, if any, maintenance. However, if the plants do become ratty or start to overgrow their location you can trim that back at any time. They will flush back into bloom in a week or so.
An application of fertilizer or compost on garden beds and regular fertilization of plants in pots will help ensure the best possible performance.
This strong performing Ageratum has a great growth habit that produces mounds of deep violet-purple flowers. It works extremely well in containers, mixed baskets and in the landscape. This vegetative Ageratum is more uniform and flowers more consistently than seed grown varieties. They are weather-resistant and thrive in bright full sun. Deer-resistant.

Picked this up when I decided to put together my first combination pot and loved how cute the flowers were. It has held up extremely well, even after it had taken some damage when something fell and hit my pot. Trimmed away the damaged flowers and in a short time it filled back in beautifully! I cannot wait to pick these up next season! I plan to use these more often!

Finally got one of these this year as the color has always been a favorite. Much to my surprise this fella is performing well and flowers vigorously. Close to a true blue when flowers in full bloom...then turn slightly purple. Strictly a mounding plant and a few of the branches have reached nearly 6 inches in height. Will get this one again and highly recommend as blues are hard to find.

wonderful plant lasting all summer and in Florida's brutal summer thats amazing. I'm so happy and saved money because I didn't have to replace all the plants mid summer, as I have had to do every year.I'm hoping they make it through the winter too.
